Ce livre est le résultat d’une étude de la cohérence des Programmes de Langues et Lettres du secondaire et d’universités au Burundi. Son objectif est de comprendre les unes des causes de la baisse du niveau des connaissances scolaires et académiques chez les Jeunes du Burundi où le Français est la langue d’enseignement-apprentissage de tout le système éducatif. Au terme de la recherche, deux constats saillants se dégagent de la présente étude : Premièrement, la section Langues est loin de constituer de prérequis aux études supérieures de lettres, et ainsi permettre le continuum entre les deux pôles du système éducatif burundais. Deuxièmement, les contenus-matière du programme de formation de la section Langues ne sont pas à même de permettre l’atteinte des objectifs assignés à cette section.
