La structure du livre est la suivante : le premier chapitre présente quelques aspects structurels de On Certainty ; le deuxième chapitre se concentre sur les interprétations des commentateurs Avrun Stroll, Rush Rhees et Danièle Moyal-Sharrock sur les thèmes du fondationnalisme et du scepticisme ; et le troisième chapitre met l’accent sur la question du soi-disant troisième Wittgenstein et sur quelques-unes des nombreuses questions qui en découlent.
