David, an Ephraimite tells that God’s justice and grace is upheld in the righteous Joseph and his descendants. David’s genealogy was rooted to Ephraim, the younger son of Joseph some clans of whose descendants had settled in Bethlehem area much earlier than the entry of the mixed-up tribe Judah to the land of Canaan.
