Das Rauchen von Berufstätigen an Universitäten gibt Anlass zur Sorge, da es sich auf das Rauchverhalten von Studierenden auswirkt. Das Verständnis der entscheidenden Faktoren ist eine Voraussetzung für Maßnahmen zur Bekämpfung dieses Phänomens.50% der männlichen Teilnehmer gaben an, aktiv zu rauchen. Schwere bis sehr schwere Depressionen, Angstzustände und Stress wurden bei 6,4%, 22,5% bzw. 9,7% der Teilnehmer festgestellt. Die Arbeitsbelastung wurde bei 33,9% der Teilnehmer als schwer bis sehr schwer empfunden. Die Nikotinabhängigkeit, die mit dem Fagerström-Test ermittelt wurde, war bei der Hälfte der Raucher stark bis sehr stark ausgeprägt.
