Die vorliegende Arbeit hatte zum Ziel, das Management des Hochschulsports an der UFOP aus der Perspektive der Athleten der Hochschulteams zu analysieren. Zu diesem Zweck wurde eine qualitative, explorative und angewandte Studie durchgeführt, bei der Dokumentenquellen analysiert und geschlossene und offene Fragebögen mit den Athleten der Teams ausgefüllt wurden, um die gewünschten Informationen zu sammeln. Die erhaltenen Antworten wurden mittels Inhaltsanalyse und SWOT-Analyse interpretiert. Die Ergebnisse lassen den Schluss zu, dass das sportliche Potenzial der Universität offensichtlich ist, es jedoch dringend notwendig ist, dass die UFOP Mechanismen zur Förderung und Unterstützung des universitären Leistungssports schafft.
