Diese Umdeutung kann auf dem „Tristan-Stoff' beruhen, was daher einen genaueren Blick lohnend macht. Es wird ein neues Thema der unbedingten Liebe entworfen, welches Konrad von Würzburg stark von anderen Autoren seiner Zeit differenziert. Aus diesem Grund lautet die Fragestellung: „Wie wird der „Tristan' Gottfrieds von Straßburg im „Herzmäre' Konrads von Würzburg rezipiert?' Es sollen Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede der beiden Mären herausgearbeitet werden, welche zeigen, ob Gottfried von Straßburg ein stilistisches Vorbild für Konrad von Würzburg war. Zudem werden verschiedene Textstellen mit einander verglichen und interpretiert.
