While on their honeymoon, the African Prince Jabu and his newly wed wife the lovely princess Zay Zay, along with their escort entourage, are attacked by a group of ruthless slavetraders, and within moments, the future, which had been filled with promise for the young couple, becomes a nightmare. But alas, he arrives too late, and must watch from shore while the slaveship carrying his Princess westward disappears on the horizon........ undetered, Prince Jabu hires the assistance of Suliman and his band of cut throat Moorish pirates, and together they brave everything from killer hurricanes to European war ships, as they cross the Atlantic venturing even onto the very shores of the southern United States............ coming ashore, Prince Jabu and his small band wreck havoc throughout the southern countryside as they search relentlessly for Princess Zay Zay.Meanwhile, the tenacious young Princess, who has discovered that she is pregnant with her husband’s heir, continues to hold on the hope of being rescued. Singled out by one of her captors, the young Master Johnathan, who has become enchanted by her, the Princess reluctantly accepts his assistance. Defying his father and his heritage, young Johnathan risks his fortune and inheritance to possess the Princess, but ends up losing everything, while all around him the culminating events continue to be governed by the ever-present spirits of the African Ancestors.........will Prince Jabu rescue his loving Princess?...will they ever make their way back to their beloved homeland?...or will they succumb to the grievous perils of their dark odyssey?Dark Odyssey promises to keep the reader riveted to its pages until those questions are ultimately answered.. and .. as an added twist Dark Odyssey’s ending will leave readed poised to read Dark Odyssey II (The Descendants) which follows the offspring of Prince Jabu and Princess Zay Zay into the present day....
