Dao De Jing is a foundational ancient Chinese text attributed to the sage Laozi, a central figure in Taoism, and is one of the most translated works in the world. Comprising 81 short chapters, it’s a classic manual on the art of living, offering wisdom on achieving balance, peace, and harmony by aligning oneself with the Tao (the natural, fundamental principle of the universe) through effortless action, simplicity, and non-resistance. Laozi was a legendary Chinese philosopher considered to be the author of the Dao De Jing, one of the foundational texts of Taoism.《道德经》，春秋时期老子所著的哲学作品，又称《德道经》《道德真经》《老子》《五千言》《老子五千文》，是中国古代先秦诸子分家前的一部著作，是道家哲学思想的重要来源。道德经分上下两篇，原文上篇《德经》、下篇《道经》，不分章，后改为《道经》37章在前，第38章之后为《德经》，并分为81章。《道德经》文本以哲学意义之'道德'为纲宗，论述修身、治国、用兵、养生之道，而多以政治为旨归，乃所谓'内圣外王'之学，文意深奥，包涵广博，被誉为万经之王。老子是中国古代思想家、哲学家、文学家、史学家，道家学派创始人和主要代表人物。老子是太上老君的原型，太上老君是根据老子虚构出来的 。老子与庄子并称'老庄'，曾被列为世界文化名人、世界百位历史名人之一。
