The Danville and Pittsylvania Cavalries were two of over two dozen companies that had a heavy enlistment of Pittsylvania County men. The two Cavalries rode with JEB Stuart much of the war. Battles included the Seven Days Battle, 2nd Manassas, Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, Yellow Tavern, Petersburg, Five Forks, and Appomattox. This is one of a series of books by the author that includes genealogical data on soldiers of Southern Virginia, predominately Pittsylvania County and the surrounding counties such as Henry, Franklin, Campbell, and Halifax. Prior works covered men in the 18th, 21st, 38th, 53rd and 57th Virginia Infantries. Included are numerous life details and pictures. 3
