His dream was interrupted by the war raging in Vietnam. He joined the Army in 1968 and served a one-year tour of Vietnam, during which time he was awarded two Bronze Star medals. Returning after his military service, he joined his father’s business and later served his community as President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of Lenox for the next 41 years. Robinson served as a County Commissioner and founder of the Lenox Industrial Development Authority during that time.Since retirement, Robinson has authored four books and two screenplays. His hobbies include beekeeping, making homemade jams and jellies, growing his family’s own vegetables, and traveling. He lives in the Lenox, GA, area with the love of his life, Margaret. He is a faithful member of Tifton First Methodist Church and teaches Sunday School.
