A modelagem de deslizamentos de terra e sua análise de risco são tarefas cruciais para a gestão de desastres. Elas têm maior importância no planeamento e desenvolvimento da resiliência pós-desastre, especialmente para o terreno montanhoso do Himalaia. Neste estudo, foram utilizados dados de observação da Terra e tecnologia geoespacial avançada para o mapeamento da suscetibilidade a deslizamentos de terra e a subsequente análise de risco da região de Gourikund a Kedarnath, distrito de Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, Índia. A técnica de simulação numérica foi utilizada para definir a zona de escoamento do fluxo de detritos através da modelagem RAMMS (Rapid Mass Movement).
