Rak śluzowy piersi (CMS) stanowi 1-4% wszystkich nowotworów piersi. Wyróżnia się dwie formy o różnym rokowaniu: CMS mieszany, w którym elementy rakowe i śluzowe są ze sobą powiązane, oraz CMS czysty o dobrym rokowaniu, w którym śluz otacza tkankę nowotworową, tworząc barierę mechaniczną ograniczającą inwazję komórek, dzięki czemu ta postać nowotworu jest mniej agresywna. Na podstawie serii 32 przypadków CMS naszym celem jest określenie szczególnych cech epidemiologicznych, klinicznych, biologicznych, terapeutycznych i prognostycznych tej rzadkiej postaci raka piersi.
