ADHD - powszechny problem behawioralny i emocjonalny dzieci - jest otoczony pewnymi kontrowersjami dotyczącymi sposobu jego diagnozowania i leczenia. W niniejszym badaniu przeanalizowano związek między gotowością pracujących rodziców do leczenia zachowań podobnych do ADHD a czasem, jaki mogą oni poświęcić swoim dzieciom. Związek ten zbadano na podpróbie 551 pracujących rodziców z próby populacji w hrabstwach Miami i Broward na Florydzie. Seria analiz ścieżek pokazuje, że spędzanie większej ilości czasu z dziećmi wiąże się z mniejszą skłonnością do leczenia zachowań podobnych do ADHD.
