Author Robert Simms uncovers the meaning of these stories, both in their original setting and for the modern, Christian reader. Using various translations for clarity, Simms exposes the text using a sparing amount of technical language, Hebrew, and Greek. Then he offers lessons that can be derived from the stories. The result is a book that’s useful for both ministers and average church members-and anyone else curious about the Bible.
