Particularmente conmovedoras son las narraciones de dos accidentes mortales: el de 1929 y el del Ballet Tico de 1965. El autor, de igual forma, nos regala una extensa lista de algunos de los apodos más conocidos del país: Cascabel Arrecho, Lengua de Trapo, Gato de Oro, Culebra Parada, Calcañal, Chelato, Mamarracho, El Millonario, Santo Entierro, La Pochina... o El Patachón. Sobre el autor: MARIO HERNÁN RAMÍREZ. Nació el 5 de marzo de 1934 Comayagüela, Honduras. Falleció el 13 de abril de 2023 a los 89 años. Periodista, historiador, poeta, escritor, locutor y gestor cultural. Premio Nacional de Literatura 'Ramón Rosa' 2017 y Premio 'Álvaro Contreras' del Colegio de Periodistas de Honduras 2021. Ha publicado, entre otros libros: 'Calendas I' 'Calendas II', 'Calendas III', 'Calendas IV', 'Calendas V', 'Por el mundo infantil', 'Escrutando el firmamento', 'Don Pepe Barroso un inmigrante cubano con éxito en Honduras', 'Gargantas de oro de la radiodifusión hondureña'; 'Un poeta y trece locos' y 'El sabor de la pobreza'.
