Criss always thought he looked like all the other crows until he saw his reflection in a shiny piece of tin foil. He was surprised to discover his feathers were white instead of black and when his sister called him weird, he was depressed. For the first time in his life, Criss Crow wonders, 'why, if we all came from an egg, do I look so different?' Criss and Callie’s parents tell the siblings to love each other, for they will be the only family they have left when their parents have gone. Then Callie gets into trouble when she is looking for food. Criss Crow knows he must save his sister, so he sheds his layers of doubt to lead other crows in a successful rescue attempt. CRISS CROW Flying on Sunshine is an endearing tale to be enjoyed by all ages - for there is a little bit of Criss Crow in all of us. Once Criss shed his fears and doubts, he knew that he was born to fly on sunshine. Being different doesn’t mean you don’t belong. It could mean you have a special role to play like Criss Crow. As an added bonus to this wonderful story, interesting crow facts are interspersed among the pages, making it a fun educational read. Discover fascinating information about crows and gain inspiration from Criss Crow!
