Repetidos palíndromos curtos (CRISPR)/sistema associado ao CRISPR (Cas) é um sistema que fornece imunidade à maioria dos organismos procarióticos contra ataques virais e outros corpos estranhos. Os sistemas Crispr consistem em uma proteína tipo tesoura chamada Cas9 e um guia genético GPS 'The guide RNA'.
