Creek School

On Fridays when everyone else is at work or school, I meet my homeschool group down by the creek.Come on an adventure exploring the creek together and learning what life looks like as a young homeschooler. Working together the children explore the cool water and wild surrounds of the creek, building bridges, creating dams and building fires. Aimed at young homeschoolers or children aged 3-10years who would like a glimpse of what the world looks like through the eyes of a homeschooler. This book will take you on a journey through the seasons with its beautifully imagery based on real photographs from our real experiences at the creek. Watch as the children take learning into their own hands and take readers on a journey of what life can look like as a homeschooler. Rebecca is an Early Childhood Teacher and homeschool mum. 'I wrote this book when my son was 4 years old and just beginning his homeschool journey. There are so many books that reference going to school or getting ready for school, I wanted to normalize his experience and have something that resonated for him and his journey. I had so many beautiful images of him playing at our homeschool group meet ups at the creek. Looking through our photos from our visits at the creek I found Creek School writing itself as the beautiful images told the story of having the freedom to explore, take risks and learn alongside friends, I found the words flowing out to match the experiences we’ve had over the months. After much encouragement from our group and my family I have taken the leap and decided that Creek School should be shared with the world. With permission from our homeschool friends, I feel privileged to share our group experiences with you in Creek School.'
