Nell’industria delle fonderie di alluminio, si utilizza l’insuperabile tecnologia a raggi-X. La procedura a raggi X mira a generare un’immagine, che può essere elaborata e deve essere della massima qualità. Un esempio dell’uso pratico e teorico coinvolto nella ricerca è la trasformata wavelet. È stata utilizzata per la localizzazione spaziale delle diverse frequenze contenute nelle immagini. Il lavoro svolto offre il suggerimento di un’unità di elaborazione delle immagini digitali, operante in collaborazione tra industria e università. Questo libro è il risultato del lavoro di ricerca e sviluppo a tempo pieno dell’autore nello stato di San Paolo.
