L’uso esteso e diffuso della programmazione J2ME è stato un’area di ricerca prioritaria nel campo della telefonia mobile. Lo sviluppo di telefoni con fotocamera sul mercato ha addirittura intensificato la programmazione J2ME necessaria per l’interfacciamento tra PC e telefono cellulare, al fine di facilitare l’accesso al modulo fotocamera nei dispositivi mobili. In questo libro l’autore ha presentato un metodo completo basato sulla piattaforma J2ME per l’interfacciamento di una fotocamera mobile che può essere controllata in modalità wireless in termini di vari parametri utilizzando la tecnologia Bluetooth, tecnicamente nota come 802.11b, standard IEEE accettato a livello internazionale. L’approccio sistematico dell’autore consente al lettore di sviluppare ulteriormente progetti basati su requisiti individuali, ma non limitati a questi, utilizzando il toolkit SUN Wireless.
