The monograph presents the results of scientific research aimed at increasing the efficiency of drilling and blasting operations by extending the duration of explosive impact on rock masses. The main focus is on improving the design of borehole explosive charges and optimizing stemming parameters. The physical processes of interaction between detonation products and stemming material, as well as the patterns of stemming movement in the borehole, taking into account external factors, are considered. Mathematical models for predicting the granulometric composition of rock fragmentation products have been developed. New technological solutions have been proposed that ensure improved fragmentation quality and drilling and blasting efficiency. The monograph is intended for researchers, practicing engineers, doctoral students, applicants, master’s students, and students of mining specialties engaged in improving blasting technologies and increasing the efficiency of rock fragmentation.
