A erradicação da insegurança alimentar continua a ser o desejo primordial de qualquer Estado que pretenda assegurar o bem-estar da sua população. A insegurança alimentar é um flagelo que afecta toda a República Democrática do Congo, e Kinshasa, em particular, também é afetada, apesar de o país dispor de todos os trunfos necessários para fazer face a este flagelo e ser rico em diversas espécies animais e vegetais úteis para o consumo, mas que continuam por explorar em quantidades suficientes para satisfazer as necessidades.A luta contra a fome é uma das principais preocupações de muitos países no âmbito da luta contra a pobreza, sendo também, naturalmente, objeto de atenção por parte de várias organizações internacionais. Para enfrentar mais eficazmente este obstáculo da insegurança alimentar, cabe, portanto, ao Estado assumir um compromisso firme na sua política, que deverá orientar a realização de todos os objectivos que serão acordados graças à estreita colaboração que deverá manter.
