O livro investiga a dinâmica da contratação de eventos públicos no Brasil à luz das modelagens utilizadas para a organização do Carnaval de Rua dos Municípios de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Recife e Belo Horizonte no período compreendido entre 2016 e 2020. O autor realiza uma análise do fluxo de estruturação das festividades públicas abordando os seguintes temas: planejamento, captação de patrocínio, organização de infraestrutura do evento, prestação de contas por parte dos particulares e a atuação dos órgãos de controle. O estudo foi elaborado a partir de entrevistas realizadas com gestores públicos e do exame dos principais problemas enfrentados pelas empresas privadas nesse tipo de contratação. Ao final, busca-se identificar as melhores práticas empregadas pelos setores público e privado na gestão de eventos públicos. 10
