Trata-se de um estudo transversal prospetivo sobre os conhecimentos, as atitudes e as práticas preventivas da população da zona de saúde de Baco-Djicoroni. O estudo transversal, que envolveu 660 adultos, incluindo 357 mulheres e 303 homens com 18 anos ou mais, foi realizado de junho de 2021 a novembro de 2021. O seu objetivo era avaliar os conhecimentos, atitudes e práticas das pessoas na área de saúde de Baco-Djicoroni relativamente à prevenção da malária. O estudo abrangeu os residentes de Sokoura, Hèrèmakono, Dougoukoro, Plateau, Golf e ACI. Foi aplicado um questionário a 110 pessoas por sector durante pelo menos 6 meses. Selecionámos as famílias ao acaso e entrevistámos cada pessoa individualmente e separadamente para evitar qualquer influência de uma família para outra. Quanto ao guião da entrevista de grupo de discussão, com a autorização dos participantes, as entrevistas foram gravadas num ditafone. O baixo nível de vida foi mais frequentemente mencionado em quatro sectores: Plateau; Sokoura; Dougoukoro; Hèrèmakono e o rendimento médio foi referido com maior frequência em dois sectores.
