L’économie haïtienne est marquée par sa faible capacité a exporter, une grande demande d’importations incluant même les produits agricoles qui jadis firent la renommée de cette ile caribéenne. Durant les dernières décennies, le revenu national est devenu fonction des dons de la charité internationale et des remittances expédiées par les haïtiens vivants a l’étranger. Aujourd’hui, la globalisation économique et financière risque de nous effacer de la compétition mondiale. Quel taux annuel de croissance et combien d’années seront nécessaires pour relever le défi haïtien ?. Durant l’année 2009 après les 4 cyclones de l’été 2008, notre protecteur a l’intérieur de l’Empire Américain, Bill Clinton, flanque de nombreux hommes d’affaires voyagent a travers le pays pour évaluer les possibilités d’investissements offertes par Haïti. Depuis lors, aucune nouvelle de ces distingues visiteurs . Puis est survenu le choc du 12 Janvier 2010 ou l’économie du pays s’est effondrée. La ville de Port -au-Prince se trouve encore en ruines. De nombreux cadavres de personnes disparues dans l’hécatombe gisent encore sous les décombres. Mais, hélas, la politicaillerie continue.....
