Neste livro, foram desenvolvidos materiais compósitos Si/PPy-Cu através de duas abordagens. Após o estudo da eletrodeposição de polipirrol num elétrodo de silício dopado n através de diferentes métodos eletroquímicos, o cobre foi depositado quer por eletrorredução direta, quer por imersão-redução de catiões de cobre na forma metálica na película de polímero. Estes materiais foram posteriormente caracterizados através de técnicas de análise eletroquímica, espectroscópica e microscópica, bem como de medições de condutividade.
