Os resíduos do processamento da madeira têm-se revelado um fator agravante na geração de impactos ambientais, incentivando pesquisas que visam soluções para esta problemática de dimensões globais. As estruturas de madeira, se não forem tratadas adequadamente, podem apresentar problemas que comprometem os objetivos para os quais foram concebidas, consistindo os materiais compostos numa solução alternativa para este problema. Este livro trata da fabricação e caracterização de materiais compósitos feitos de partículas de madeira e resina epóxi, juntamente com a adição de partículas de cimento e silicato de magnésio, sendo investigada, por análise de variância (ANOVA), a influência dos fatores e suas interações nas propriedades físicas e mecânicas, permitindo avaliar o seu potencial na forma de reparação ou reforço, seja em peças ou estruturas de madeira.
