Para aumentar o potencial de produção do nosso gado, a única forma é introduzir tecnologias melhoradas de AH para adoção em massa e criar as infra-estruturas críticas e necessárias para a adoção de práticas de AH. Tendo em conta estes factores, o autor tentou estudar o comportamento de adoção dos proprietários de gado relativamente a práticas de AH selecionadas em diferentes ACZ de W.B., Índia. O estudo foi realizado com 2620 proprietários de gado em todo o estado e desenvolveu separadamente seis escalas de conhecimento sobre diferentes práticas de AH. Esperamos que este livro publicado, repleto de informação científica, seja definitivamente útil para todos os investigadores, estudantes, cientistas sociais, decisores políticos e outros académicos que se dedicam a esta área.
