Isto implica melhorar a eficiência através da recuperação do calor residual: é a cogeração de eletricidade.A ideia aqui é recuperar o calor residual através do efeito Seebeck utilizando geradores termoeléctricos.Resolvendo o modelo matemático de um módulo termoelétrico que utiliza o semicondutor telureto de bismuto com a Pdetoolbar, uma janela da ferramenta informática MATLAB, pudemos ver a interdependência entre a tensão e a temperatura. E podemos ver que a temperatura se difunde normalmente no semicondutor e que a tensão é da ordem dos milivolts.
