Ever wondered what it would be like to join the circus? Clarisse the Cow lives on Farmer Finkle’s farm with all the other animals, but she is not a happy cow. She longs for adventure and has dreams of performing in the circus. One day she gets a chance to go to the circus and ends up part of a circus act. Quite by accident, she gets stuck up a ladder and has to be rescued. By the time Clarisse is safely back at home, she realizes that she does not really want to be in the circus after all! This all leaves Clarisse dreaming of something else she would like to be. What would you like to be? Louise Coulson-Staak grew up in Zimbabwe, married her husband in Botswana, and moved to South Africa where her three children were born. The author and her family currently live in Qatar in the Middle East. She is a musician and singer/songwriter. 'I was inspired to write this story by my three children. I was amazed at their constant sense of adventure and their willingness to try new things. I also remember stories my grandmother told of a pet cow she had when she was a girl.'
