This book is a systematic study going through the Bible with its references of fasting, diet and abstinence, this is called Biblical Nutrition. The author Jim has been looking into fasting and the diets of Jesus and Mary since the 1980’s with extensive research. In this day and age a pure diet (kosher) and fasting is needed because of all the poisons, toxins, pesticides, heavy metals and other chemicals in our environment which get into our bodies. A pure diet and Fasting can flush these out before they start to multiply and cause degenerative disease and death. The biblical references throughout this work help define the nature and purpose of Food and fasting, There are 150 Saints were were vegetarian and many religious orders founders promoted it. A Plant-based diet can be found in the early Christian and later monastic conditions; Jesus and Mary were believed to be vegetarian, as the Messiah Jesus had to be because of the blood laws and Mary was the Daughter Zion, the New Eve, Jesus the New Adam. The different Jewish Tribes and Festivals are also discussed. The Early Jewish- Christian Church was strongly vegetarian. The table of contents gives an idea of what this book is about. Thanks and God bless.
