本書是旅加成功華人企業家梁逸波先生的故事。梁逸波生不逢時，家境貧困，從中國逃往香港後，從低層做起，見證了一九五零、六零年代香港餐飲業的興起，學習港式餐飲一技之長，同時也親自體驗到當時中國改革開放，由外省湧入香港近四千萬人，於香港蕞爾小島所產生的文化衝擊，為筆者奠定了日後向西行的心願；爾後因緣際會移民加拿大，胼手胝足，透過於香港學習的餐飲技術，以及筆者自己的天分、努力，於加拿大維多利亞島開辦三所大型餐飲事業，成為加拿大華人圈閃耀的僑領之星。全書數十餘幅珍貴圖片，紀錄了梁逸波先生對漂泊海外的華人所見所聞、餐飲事業風雲錄、僑民的故事、家庭與展望，以及國民黨加拿大域多利支部籌建背景與歷史故事等，對國家、對社會、對個人而言，梁逸波先生自傳式的《唐人夢》，彷彿帶領讀者親自重返六零、七零年代從香港移民加拿大的華僑奮鬥史。
