Con objeto del pasado sesenta aniversario del descubrimiento del Tesoro del Carambolo (Camas, Sevilla), realizamos estas pinceladas que aporten una perspectiva distinta a lo que se conoce de este peculiar yacimiento tartésico en el que la influencia fenicia, y por lo tanto oriental, ha marcado su existencia y ha servido de patrón para otros asentamientos. Revisaremos su historia, el descubrimiento del afamado tesoro, su simbolismo y posición estratégica, y lo compararemos con otros asentamientos y su lugar en el Universo a través de las hipótesis cosmológicas existenciales. Además, veremos las peculiaridades de la influencia oriental, en cuanto a la existencia de dioses y el sincretismo que se le dieron.
