No matter what horrific things may have occurred to you in life, you can decide to become a victor and not remain a victim.  Growing up, life was ordinary. This is a story about a young boy who used nature as an anchor in life. From the age of five he would sit and have beautiful conversations with a cypress tree he called Charlie Tree. He enjoyed a supportive family and a normal school experience...right up until he turned eleven. That was when life took a twisted turn and he was forced to endure years of terrible turmoil.  He grew into a self-destructive adult suffering from drug addiction, abusive partners, suicidal ideations, and disease. Thankfully, through the entire living hell he always had Charlie Tree to lean on and talk to. When he was 38, Charlie Tree told him to self baptize and align himself with God. At that time, he transitioned to become Gianna. Life was never the same again. Miracles and grace started to manifest in Gianna’s l life, and she undertook the difficult journey from being a victim to becoming a survivor and thriving in life.  This emotional and inspirational memoir by Gianna Recio offers deep insight into self-help, grit, determination, and courage. It gives hope to the hopeless, offers faith to the faithless, and encourages readers to tap into their own source of power, to take back their control and their choices, and to feel good again.
