This book focuses on resistance to change in the IT consulting process of implementing standard software. It is an investigation into the organisational behaviour aspects with an economical view on the work life of a finance specialist such as a controller, and regarding the consulting process, an IT consultant who is dealing with culture, motivation, change, and other soft factors of every day life without being aware of doing so most of the time. Such specialists behave according to experience and intuition but it is rarely a consciously experienced process with names or facts and figures to measure, visualise or quantify. It is the aim of this work to provide IT consultants with a guideline to use as well as practice models and methods used by consultants who work with an organisational development which is described as follows:” A collection of planned-change interventions, built on humanistic-democratic values, that seek to improve organisational effectiveness and employee well-being.” It is part of this work to translate the organisational behaviour vocabulary into a hands-on-approach for IT consultants. * S.Robbins,2003
