Cartea este o lucrare unică în România, prin prisma tematicii, a modului interdisciplinar de abordare a ei și a modalității de scriere (haute vulgarisation). Utilizându-se doar aparent structura unei analize de drept constituțional și comparat, ea scoate la lumină, folosindu-se de texte juridice, atât falsul afirmației că Constituția României s-ar încadra într-un model occidental- oricare ar fi acela- cât și resorturile imaginarului și de mental politic comun întregului spectru politic. Componentele răspunderii șefului de stat sunt devoalate succesiv ca ilustrare a eșecului Constituției României în definirea conceptelor de șef de stat și de separație a puterilor în stat. Realitatea constituțională de după 1989 este privita inclusiv diacronic, atât în ce o unește cât și în ce o desparte de istoric constituțional românesc de la 1831 înspre prezent. Celor două proiecte de revizuire a Constituției le sunt arătate structurile comune de gândire si imposibilitatea de a putea da naștere unui model constituțional.
