屢有所聞排華事件的印尼政治，廿世紀上半世紀（1900～1950年）曾經有過三種不同的體制。那就是（1）350年的荷蘭殖民政治。（2）3年半的日本極權政治。（3）1945年印尼宣布獨立後的共和政治。先父徐競先著述1941至1950獨立經過的「印尼十年」﹐已成為華人讀者公認為印尼現代史的經典之作之一。為紀念其為護僑奮鬥犧牲的一生﹐特撿附本人散文集編輯成冊問世﹐希有助於研經史者。徐新漢，出生自印尼華文報業世家，畢業於台北政大新聞系，歷任台北中央日報記者、加拿大溫哥華新民國報總編輯、至加拿大溫哥華世界日報總編輯一職榮休。曾任台灣大專院校旅加西友聯誼會首任會長。現任加西政大校友會會長﹑台灣各大學加西校友會聯會總召集人﹑及加拿大華文作家協會會長。 加拿大華文作家協會是世界華文作家協會的成員﹐成立於2000年10月首創在新浪網出版空中雜誌型「希望文坊」網頁，將會員作品不受時與地的限制廣傳至全球，間接將會員的作品或書籍免費「傳銷」出去。該會除了再版叢書周修棣著「鯨兒」外﹐最近又出版了數本新叢書﹕陳錦波著「珠還記」﹑賀玲著「高原雪」、「山海天地幻世錄」與三木風的「秋風縷縷」等。其餘請見該會的「希望文坊」資訊網﹕http://blog.udn.com/cwacan。 3
