O catalisador desempenha um papel importante na química sintética. Neste livro, descrevemos a síntese da polianilina e da polianilina dopada com metal como um catalisador versátil. O catalisador composto de polianilina dopada com cloreto de cobalto (Co-PANI) foi sintetizado utilizando o método de dopagem química. A polianilina foi fabricada através da técnica de oxidação química a uma baixa temperatura de 0 a 30°C. Em comparação com a polianilina, a poliamina dopada com metal tem maior atividade catalítica. Os catalisadores sintetizados foram caracterizados pelos métodos analíticos SEM, XRD, FTIR e TGA-DTA. Os catalisadores sintetizados de polianilina (PANI) e de polianilina dopada com cloreto de cobalto (Co-PANI) foram utilizados na síntese de 3,4-dihidropirimidina-2 (1H) como reação multicomponente (MCRs).
