Dos jóvenes de clase popular en Lima se entrenan para un concurso importante de la 'marinera' danza peruana de mucha popularidad en la población. Se ven envueltos entre problemas de familia que cubren sus pasados por tener lados oscuros especialmente muertes, que son ocasionadas por miembros de familiares de los cuales ellos nunca sabían que eran muy cercanos a ellos. Durante el desarrollo de aclarar los conflictos familiares la joven Sirena crece rápidamente, después de haber sido raptada y aprender ella misma al darse fuerza para salir de la situación, durante todo este proceso hay personajes que se aparecen para dar un toque de humor, terminando en desarrollarse sorpresivamente para todos en lo que menos se pensaba.
