Jaccob Myers is a young priest of the Church of Eredna who is sent to bring a nearby village into the congregation. Upon entering the village, he soon realizes that monsters are plaguing the people. With the help of an experienced monster hunter named Georgeta, Jaccob stops the attacks and learns that his own bishop, Bishop Gregory, may be responsible for these attacks. Georgeta is not allowed near the church, so she leaves Jaccob to confront the Bishop alone. Cardinals and Crows is a horror fantasy that illustrates a monster is not defined or even recognized by appearance or association but rather by its actions and the subsequent consequences of those actions. Adult readers ages 18 and up who are interested in horror and fantasy will be enthralled by this story that weaves together the themes of mental trauma, biases toward individuals, and personal growth through experience.
