'Your wife has cancer.' With those jolting words, lives are changed forever. As Dave Tofanelli’s wife faced her battle with cancer, he faced his own battle, dealing with the worry and fatigue of a caregiver. This is the real-life and moving story of a husband’s journey as he cares for his wife. A story that includes pain and loneliness, a bewildering array of choices, and a desire to do all he possibly can to help his wife. Through this difficult situation, God provides his promised strength and guidance. The book is written especially to help husbands cope with the changes in their lives that the cancer of a loved one causes, and to give wives a view of the trails husbands undergo. It offers inspiring testimony of how God reveals Himself in times of suffering and vulnerability and works through us for others. Dave Tofanelli is an adjunct professor at California Lutheran University and a healthcare executive with a major health insurance company. He, his wife, Janell, and son, Austin, live in Thousand Oaks, California, and are members of Calvary Community Church.

In the 1970s, employees worked in offices. Communication was primarily face-to-face, by telephone, and through the mail.
