Is it possible some religious leaders have 'lost touch' with members of the churches or ministries they serve in efforts to achieve church growth or organizational success? Are religious leaders more apt to engage in codependent behavior as there is a strong desire to please others and a need to be accepted? Interestingly, the author of this book discovered leaders who continuously share their values and beliefs with their followers are less likely to engage in bad leadership behavior and practices. This book is a must read for anyone desirous of improving leadership effectiveness and inspiring active followership in for-profit or not-for-profit organizations. Written with church leadership at heart, the principles in this book are a must read for any 'religious leader' (minister, pastor, priest, bishop, overseer, prelate, church officer, board member) or anyone else involved with leadership development or is serious about providing the best service to attendees, congregants, customers, or members. The Most Reverend Dr. Will Boyd is a consecrated Metropolitan Archbishop, serving as the Presiding Prelate and Chief Servant of Zion Ministries. Dr. Boyd earned a B.S. in Engineering, an M.B.A., a Ph.D. in Religion, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Management and Leadership. He has also been awarded an Honorary D.D. (Doctorate of Divinity) and an Honorary D.Sc. (Doctor of Science in Christian Counseling). His manufacturing and engineering experience afforded him opportunities to work in The People’s Republic of China before he began serving in higher learning posts as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Dean of Student Success, Board of Regents Member, and Vice-President of Student Affairs and Institutional Advancement. Dr. Boyd made history, becoming the first African American elected to City Council in Greenville, Illinois and, in 2009, he became a candidate for United States Senate. Dr. Boyd is the author of a 'God-help' book entitled Scratching the Surface. He, his wife, and their children reside in Florence, Alabama.
