Since discovering the nefarious intentions of the Order of the Nine Seals, Gavan Maddox has partnered with Seirina-the necromancer-to take down the Order and its head, Elrulin. This attracts the attention of many other communities the Order has interfered with. At first, Gavan is not swayed, but then Lucian promises a way out from the tie binding him to a skeletal beast and Gavan cannot resist any longer. As the forces prepare, Gavan tries to rebuild a relationship with the alluring Angelica amid training his magick and protecting his friends. Gavan has made a deal with the Devil in order to save the world, but will it work, and will he be the same man after all is said and done?
