A caligrafia Sini é o fruto artístico mais famoso da presença muçulmana na China. É uma escrita árabe que tem sido usada pelos muçulmanos chineses na China em invocações nas mesquitas, inscrições em vasos ou em pergaminhos pendurados que decoram as suas casas. A singularidade da escrita vem do seu estilo híbrido, que apresenta a escrita árabe com um toque e técnica chineses. Apesar de ter surgido num ambiente não muçulmano, a Sini manteve a sua existência por centenas de anos entre os muçulmanos chineses. Ela desenvolveu várias variantes que chegaram até nós na forma de lápides, como as de Quanzhou, interiores de mesquitas no leste da China, local de origem da escrita, ou cópias antigas do Alcorão, juntamente com vasos de cerâmica e bronze.
