The book title “Cafeteria Poetry” was chosen because all of this material waswritten in a local cafeteria. Many of the poems in this volume were first writtenwhen Linwood was a ninth grader attending Southern Nash Senior High School inBaily North Carolina. The original drafts were lost over the years, but the contentsremained with Linwood forever. They were simply recreated for this book. Eachpoem is an original, and full of wisdom and curiosity. Some are simply funny butalways thought provoking. Linwood’s hope is that everyone will find something inthis first book that strikes a chord for them.
