As adults, and in particular women, we go through our lives encountering many obstacles and joys. Some are easily handled, some are not, yet they make up the time capsule we call our life. As years go by some of the joys and obstacles may actually build to such a degree that we are overcome by their weight. For example, the death of loved one from years of a progressive disease, or the graduation of someone close to us that was never expected to make it. We are always part of the picture, always there for them. Then one day our life seems to be all over. We are only left with a map, lines on our faces, to tell our story. No one comes to see us. We are 'Left Alone;' there were too many years to say I cared, yet too few. This book tries to tell a story of many lives, those that live and overcome adversity, how they lived, and how they died. It also tells how they affected the lives of those around them. It is not morose but happy, for these are not women that were living lives of sorrow but of joy. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did in finding the women whose lives brought butterflies not hornets to ours.
