This book was not an easy project to complete. Sharing my life story with the world came with the fear of judgment, and feelings of shame. But it was a story that I felt compelled to share…one that I wanted to convey to the world. I wanted to tell the world how, through the power of God, I overcame every obstacle that was thrown my way. I am a young lady who isn’t yet out of my twenties, and I have had so many bad things happen to me since I came into this world. Many things I couldn’t write in this book so I took the most important and impactful things to share with everyone who is reading this book. I wanted to show each person that they have the power to overcome anything. I have experienced so many traumatic things…from being raped, becoming a teen mother and a victim of domestic violence, to using drugs and alcohol, to divorce. I went from relationship to relationship, from one bad habit to the next, trying to fill a void and find love, but I did not find true love until I found God, and began to love myself. 3
