While on the letter 'P' page, it is revealed that 'Parsnips don’t perform,' supported by a groovy parsnip behind a microphone, rocking cool shades and a gold tooth.The youngest readers will be aided by their alphabet learning and pronunciation through the alliteration, while older readers will enjoy identifying diverse vegetables and their silly antics. A glossary at the back of the book explains the words reviewed in the book while a notes section discusses the origins of the familiar parodies used throughout the book.
