He vows that he will do whatever it takes, legal or not, to beat the charges against her so he can have her for himself.As the defense of the charges develops and the trial unfolds it becomes clear that Angelique is not what she appears to be. Unfortunately, Jeb is too far gone with his love and desire for her to change directions and must play out the hand that he has helped deal.
