This is a true story, a picture book based on the author’s girlhood memories. She remembers her grandfather, an American Navy Veteran who had fought in the Second World War. After the war, he worked as a farmer in Georgia, USA, and grew many delicious blueberries, which he generously shared with friends and neighbors. Growing blueberries helped him to cope with his bad wartime memories, and bring joy to many people. 'Blueberries are good for you! You can never have too many,' Granddaddy used to say. Blueberry Man is a book full of hope-filled memories. Beautiful childhood memories. You can never have too many!
